This activity was a part of a four-year research programme, the Political Settlements Research Programme (PSRP), which explored how internal and external actors could transform political settlements to be more open, inclusive, and non-violent. A total of 24 women and men from political and civil society spheres were brought together in a gender lab to examine how women’s status and roles changed through twenty years of conflict, peace and transition in Nepal; and what have been women and minorities’ experience of peace and transition – what has changed for these groups (positively and negatively), and why?
