Vibhav Pradhan holds a MA in International Relations from South Asian University, India, and a BBA in Management from Assumption University, Thailand. His master’s thesis was on post-republic Nepal’s efforts in the nation-building process, state restructuring and federalism, and post-conflict peace-building. His prior research has been on the role of international organisations in Nepal’s domestic and foreign policies; post-conflict studies of Nepal, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka; and the political economy of South Asian and South-East Asian regional integration processes, among others. Prior to joining Social Science Baha, he worked in programme management roles for UNICEF and DFID projects in areas of child labour and child protection, and strategic economic reform policies, including implementation of Special Economic Zone and Public-Private Partnerships. He has also worked with the Government of Nepal on a comprehensive feasibility research study concerning the re-establishment of Birgunj Sugar Mills and Nepal Drugs Limited.
