Rajendra Sharma was awarded the prestigious NORHED Fellowship (2016-18) for his Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies, a collaborative program involving the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (Norway), Tribhuvan University (Nepal), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (Pakistan) and the University of Ruhuna (Sri Lanka). His research spans sub-national governance, transitional justice, civil-military relations and peacebuilding. Currently, he leads the peace education movement in the Kathmandu Valley, advocating for transformative education. Some of his publications include “Evolution of Nepal’s National Security Council and National Security Policy” (2023), “Volunteering Together: Blending Knowledge and Skills for Development” (co-authored, 2022), “Sri Lanka’s Journey from Counter-Insurgency to Peacebuilding: An Assessment of Nation-State Building” (2021) and “Discourse of Civil-Military Relations in Nepal” (co-authored, 2020). His work reflects a deep commitment to the study and practice of peacebuilding and conflict resolution on both national and international scales.
