Binay Jung Thapa
Binay Jung Thapa is a researcher with an interest in exploring issues regarding natural resources, governance, sustainability, social movements, climate security, and resilience. He holds a master’s degree in human and natural resources studies from Kathmandu University School of Arts for which he was also awarded a gold medal by the Government of Nepal. His master’s thesis was on climate change perception and adaptation among Thamis in Dolakha district of Nepal. His research experience spans projects such as post-earthquake status of violence against women, high Himalayan agri-business and economy, and the status of private forestry in Nepal. Before joining Social Science Baha, he worked as programme monitoring and evaluation officer for a Danish Forestry Extension-funded project in Nepal.
