The Annual Kathmandu Conference on Nepal and the Himalaya
23-25 July 2025

The Conference this year will be fully in-person

The details of the conference are as follows:

• The conference will start at 9 am and will run till 5 pm.
• The conference will be held at Hotel Shanker, Lazimpat, Kathmandu.

You may visit this page to view the abstracts of the papers that have been shortlisted for presentation during the conference. 

Registration is compulsory to attend the conference. Registration entitles participants entry to the conference as well as all meals served over the conference days. However, an early bird discount is provided for registrations done by 30 June, 2025. After that, the full fees will be applied.

Please also note that there will be no refunds for cancellations.

Registrations is confirmed by paying registration fees via any of the five methods given below

i) Debit/Credit Card: Payment can be made through the Himalayan Bank payment portal available here.

Note: Only debit/credit cards that allow conversion into USD during payment are accepted. NPR cardholders cannot use this system to make payments.

ii) Via Britain-Nepal Academic Council (BNAC), UK: For those in the United Kingdom who prefer to pay into the BNAC bank account, please write to the BNAC Treasurer, Fraser Sugden at [email protected].

iii) In-person in Kathmandu: It is also possible to pay the registration fees in person at these venues:
