MoU on Bihari Krishna Fellowship in Ethnographic Research

Under the Bihari Krishna Fellowship in Ethnographic Research set up at Social Science Baha (SSB), a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between SSB and the Central Department of Anthropology (CDA) at Tribhuvan University to set up two fellowships: i. PhD ethnographic research fellowship, and ii. PhD dissertation-to-book fellowship. The duration of the PhD ethnographic research fellowship will be one year and of the PhD dissertation-to-book fellowship, six months. The Bihari Krishna Fellowship in Ethnographic Research was set up in 2011 through a donation of Rs 5 million from Bihari Krishna Shrestha, one of the pioneering anthropologists of Nepal. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr Shrestha by Professor Nirmal Man Tuladhar, Chair of SSB and Dr Dambar Chemjong, Head of Department at CDA on 4 November 2019 at the CDA.
