At this public event, three senior faculty members from Yale University made brief presentations. Themes included the importance of interdisciplinary work in the Himalaya, situating the region within the broader context of Asian Studies, and the prospects and challenges of long-term international collaborations. A Question and Answer session followed the presentations. Participants included scholars, students and practitioners with an interest in various aspects of Himalayan research.
This event was supported by the South Asian Studies Council and the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University, and organized in partnership with Social Science Baha.
