Making Academic Presentations
Time: 8 pm Nepal standard time | Date: 13 July 2023
Platform: Zoom (online)
Making academic/professional presentations of original research can be complicated, given the need to present arguments in the clearest and most efficient way possible alongside keeping the audience engaged as well. This workshop will help understand some of the most important things to remember when preparing for a presentation at a conference or a seminar. We will look at some common mistakes that are usually made when presenting and designing presentations, as well as some best practices that can be followed to avoid pitfalls. The focus will be on developing the skill of making good academic presentations for students and researchers alike.
The workshop is aimed primarily at those making presentations at the Annual Kathmandu Conference on Nepal and the Himalaya but anyone interested can apply to join. There is no participation fee to be part of the workshop.
